D Studio CMB is a creative agency located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Our journey began in June 2010 when our founder, Baba Irshan Careem, teamed up with one of Sri Lanka’s global food brands, Pizza Hut. Operating from a small office in Baba’s own residence, D Studio CMB embarked on a mission to create captivating and impactful creative solutions as most great companies had humble beginnings.
During this period, D Studio CMB rapidly expanded its portfolio by collaborating with prominent brands. Our team’s dedication and innovative approach caught the attention of Hayleys Consumer, a conglomerate with a diverse range of brands including Fujifilm, Philips Lighting, Tide, Pantene, GP Batteries, and several P&G brands.
As we continued to provide exceptional creative services, we welcomed another industry giant, Janashakthi Insurance PLC, into our portfolio in 2012. Additionally, we proudly partnered with Oxford College of Business, a leading MBA-accredited institute in Sri Lanka.
Celebrating our third-year anniversary, we took a significant leap forward by launching a Film Production House under the D Studio CMB umbrella. Our first productions included Philip brand songs, music videos such as “Jaya Gosata Rock Wemu,” “Kawuda Malli,” and “Kolamba Wate.” On this success, we were able to secure major video productions for top brands in the market.
By our fifth year, we expanded our client base to include globally recognized brands such as Airtel Lanka, Asia Pacific Brewery (Heineken), DFCC Bank, and Dulux Paints.
D Studio CMB matured into a full-fledged creative agency, solidifying its position in the Sri Lankan market. In early 2015, we proudly added Elephant House Soft Drinks and Elephant House Ice Cream, renowned brands under the John Keells Holdings (JKH) Group, to our portfolio. This marked a turning point in our brand hunt journey.
We continued to expand our reach by collaborating with other industry leaders such as DSI Shoes, People’s Leasing, Marina Foods and Telesonic. Our clientele grew to include Keells Krest, Norfolk Foods (Crescent) and Colombo Commodities, among others.
As we celebrate our 13-year journey, we take immense pride in our partnerships with a diverse range of global and local brands. This milestone showcases our unwavering dedication to providing exceptional creative solutions and help building long-lasting relationships.
